Christian Lopez and his trio, Joe Taxi deliver a show of Americana folk music, with a backbeat derived from progressive rock & roll. A new sound found it's way to the mid-east coast region with Christian Lopez & Joe Taxi. Along with show that will captivate any audience member, the band is accessible and eager to meet new fans. Christians original music such as "Will I See You Again", and "As Far As I May Go" have had radio play in West Virginia and Pennsylvania and have debuted nationally on Gashouse Radio in March of 2013. The Jackson Browne and Johnny Cash flavor catch the attention of many, and introduce a completely new feel to folk music. Christian Lopez & Joe Taxi has also had national success as the winners of the 2012 WVU Coca Cola Battle of the Bands, 2012 Moonstruck Battle of the Bands, and 2012 The Ottobar Battle of the Bands. The trio went on to play on The Vans Warped Tour 2012, The 9:30 Club in Washington DC and Pickin' in the Panhandle in addition to over 100 other shows since 2012. Christian is an excellent electric and acoustic Guitar player. He is also and astonishing Piano and Harmonica player. Don't be surprised to see him pull out the Mandolin or Banjo. An acoustic guitar, a bass, and a drum set. Christian Lopez discovered the three sounds inspired from the great chords and melodies of folk music, with the rhythm derived of progressive rock and roll. Now it is delivered with the heart of this young man and of the band along with him, Joe Taxi.
